Living life sober is fun!
So you want to stop drinking, but are afraid that it means the party’s over.
You think you’ll lose all your buddies, weekends will be boring trips to the farmer’s market, and every moment will be an exercise in willpower.
Or maybe you’ve already quit alcohol, and are longing for the days when life used to be fun and exciting.
You’re starting to wonder if all the money you’re saving and health benefits are worth living a dull and boring life.
What if I told you it doesn’t have to be this way? That life can be even more fun, exciting, and full of adventure without drinking alcohol?
You’re probably saying to yourself right now, “Who the hell is this asshole and what is he selling?”
I’m the Sober Gentleman, and I want to help you learn how to stop drinking, stay sober, and have more fun than you’ve ever had doing it.
Who is the Sober Gentleman?
I’m just a guy who loves to party, go out and enjoy all that life has to offer.
And I’ve chosen to not to drink because of many, many reasons, not limited to protecting my health, improving my mindstate and making life better in general for myself and those around me.
Being sober and having fun shouldn’t be incompatible, but so much of what we see on TV, in movies and all around us sends a different message: that drinking is fun, and if you don’t drink you’ll miss the party.
I created this blog to reverse some of the brainwashing associated with drinking, to find like-minded people who don’t think that sobriety has to be boring, and to help us all get sober, stay sober and live a healthy and fun life.
Each week in my blog, I’ll explore different methods of reducing the urge to drink, fun and exciting activities that are much better when sober, and interview successful sober people on what makes them tick and keeps them going.
